GST Calculator
Work out GST on any amount in seconds. Choose whether you're adding GST to a base price or pulling it out of a total, then see the CGST + SGST split (same state) or IGST (different state) breakdown.
CGST + SGST applies within the same state; IGST applies for inter-state supply — use one or the other, not both. This is a calculation aid, not a filing or advisory tool.
How the GST calculation works
Adding GST (you have the price before tax): GST amount = base × rate ÷ 100. Total = base + GST amount.
Removing GST (you have the final price, tax included): Base amount = total ÷ (1 + rate ÷ 100). GST amount = total − base amount.
For a sale within the same state, GST splits equally into CGST and SGST. For an inter-state sale, the full amount is charged as IGST instead.
This is the calculation. Karyai tracks the work around it.
