TDS Calculator
Enter a payment amount and the applicable TDS rate to see the tax deducted and what's actually payable. Common sections are listed as a starting point — always confirm the rate that applies to your specific payment.
Section presets are a starting reference, not a determination — the correct section, rate and threshold depend on the deductee's status, PAN availability and the latest Income-tax provisions. This tool does not give tax advice; confirm with your CA before filing.
How TDS is calculated
TDS deducted = payment amount × TDS rate ÷ 100. Net amount payable = payment amount − TDS deducted. The deductor pays the TDS to the government and issues a certificate (Form 16/16A) reflecting the deduction.
Where no PAN is available, a higher rate (commonly 20%) can apply instead of the standard section rate — this calculator does not apply that automatically, so check it manually if relevant.
This is the calculation. Karyai tracks the work around it.
